About

Through an appreciation of nature, objects, and designs, I find peace and expression in the art of photography.  I gravitate towards macro photography and have mostly used a fixed 100mm lens.  I use a variety of techniques including digital photography, depictions from ordinary objects captured via scanography, and creations made through digital manipulation. I am self taught and am on a journey of exploration into the world of art.

The photographic process serves as a way for me to slow down and appreciate the pleasures in everyday surroundings. The digital transformation process serves as a meditative and therapeutic outlet.  Some works have clear intentions, while others emerge as a surprise.  My two feline friends and I have landed in Ithaca, NY which we now call home.  Most of my photographic images are captured in gardens, walks around town, or random adventures with the camera.  The images captured through scanography are transformed from items as mundane as a crumpled piece of paper.

I enjoy capturing visual pleasures and brining the essence of life into what is often considered ordinary.  I hope my work invokes emotion, inspires imagination, and brings attention to the beauty held in everyday life.

I hope you enjoy exploring and thank you for visiting
